The Elusive Kratos: How Long Can We Go Without Him in Fortnite?

Fortnite has always been known for its vast array of unique and exciting skins, but one character's absence from the game has left fans wondering when they'll see him again - Kratos. The God of War himself was first introduced to the game back in December 2020, but since then, he's made a brief reappearance in March 2021 before disappearing once more.

Kratos' last appearance in Fortnite dates back over 700 days ago, and fans are starting to get restless. It's not just Kratos either - other Gaming Legends characters have also been MIA for extended periods of time. Resident Evil's Chris Redfield has been absent since April 2022, while Halo's Master Chief hasn't been seen in almost 300 days.

While it's understandable that Fortnite wants to keep some skins rare and exclusive, it does feel a little unfair that these Gaming Legends characters have to wait so long in rotation. The problem is particularly pronounced when it comes to PlayStation crossover cosmetics, which seem to be stuck in perpetual limbo.

Take God of War Ragnarok, for example - the perfect opportunity for Kratos to make his triumphant return was last November, and yet he remained absent from the game. This has left fans wondering if we'll ever see him again or if he's been relegated to the dustbin of forgotten skins.

The issue is unfortunately a fairly common problem with Fortnite's Gaming Legends skins, and it's hard not to feel frustrated when other characters get frequent updates while these beloved characters are left collecting digital dust. Here's hoping that Epic Games will take notice and give Kratos (and his fellow Gaming Legends) the love they deserve soon.

In the meantime, fans can only keep their fingers crossed that a surprise appearance or special event might bring Kratos back to the Item Shop. After all, as any gamer knows, absence makes the heart grow fonder - and we're more than ready to welcome Kratos back into our Fortnite rosters.
